About 2 years ago, in 2008, I lost two very important persons in my life: my mum and my grandfather. The mourning and the sadness left way to the desire of having something to remember them through time. The answer came up so naturally that it surprised even myself…”WATCHES”.
I’d always liked watches, but had never found the time to investigate, understand and learn about them. I even kept some of my first watches, not really knowing why because I no longer wore them. Fortunately, I think, a work collegue introduced me to several watch forums, most of which appear in this blog, and it was like the sky opened in front of my eyes.
The popular watch makers, like Longines, Omega, Rolex, Patek,… started to mean more to me than just adds on sporting events or actors in movies. And I discovered many other manufacturers like IWC, Panerai, Zenith, A. Lange & Söhne, Jaeger LeCoultre, Hamilton,…(the list is so long) with even more fantastic pieces.
This started me in a “voyage” that I will like to share in this blog. I will try to post reviews on the pieces that enter my collection, information I find interesting, opinions on new watches or events,….whatever I find of interest related to a common element watches and watch making.
I hope you find it interesting, comment on it, and share your thoughts here with me. Welcome and enjoy your time here!
